With 23 years of experience as a Varsity Hockey Coach, Lee Engstrom offers specialized private training sessions designed specifically for defensemen. His coaching approach is tailored to the demands of the modern game, focusing on enhancing individual skill sets while also developing a deeper understanding of team-oriented play. Through personalized instruction, players refine essential defensive techniques such as gap control, stick positioning, and edge work, while also improving offensive zone contributions in addition to breakout execution and transitional and neutral zone play. Lee’s expertise helps defensemen build confidence, adaptability, and a competitive edge, ensuring they are prepared to excel at any level of the game.

Areas of Emphasis include: Edge Work, Deception, Breakouts and Regroups, Shooting and Wall plays, Gap Control, Angling and Surfing, D Zone skill sets, and Overspeed. All of these are tailored to enhance skills for the modern defenseman.
